Rural Women in Agriculture

NYFOH is committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by empowering women through education and financial stability, particularly in rural areas where hunger and malnutrition are prevalent due to political instability, soil degradation, lack of resources, and deforestation in Haiti.

Women in these communities play critical leadership roles, yet they are often the first victims of land theft and expulsions. To address these challenges, NYFOH prioritizes supporting affected women through social, educational, technical, and economic assistance, including micro-credit opportunities, land and soil management education, and financial management skills training.

Our program involves active participation in trainings, raising awareness about deforestation and land preservation, agroforestry, and creating growth from existing resources. By supporting our efforts, you can help fight poverty, hunger, deforestation, and contribute to decentralization.
