At NYFOH, we’re deeply attuned to the challenges our community faces with vaccination rates. Despite the slow progress, we’re delighted to share that our community has received vital information from professional healthcare workers, learning how to navigate the fear of illness and the importance of early treatment escalation.
During our annual health fair, we provided comprehensive support, including meals, food boxes to take home, mamogram, for over 250 people. Additionally, we offered services such as consultations, blood pressure checks, and eye tests. Our wellness team showcased stress management techniques, while engaging activities for kids were organized. It’s a family day for us! With a diverse range of music genres, including salsa, compa, and afro beats from our DJ, we ensured everyone had an enjoyable time.
