At NY Friends of Haiti 2010 (NYFOH), we support immigrants as they integrate into American society and thrive within a diverse, inclusive community.
NYFOH provides language assistance, job readiness support, résumé building, and housing guidance to help individuals and families navigate daily life and achieve stability. We collaborate with local leaders, businesses, and community organizations to strengthen integration efforts and promote inclusive policies. Through training and capacity-building, we also help partner organizations better serve immigrant communities. Our work emphasizes empowerment through civic engagement, leadership development, and guidance in navigating government systems.
Through these efforts, more than 100 immigrants have improved their English language skills, over 200 individuals have secured stable employment over time, and 100 families have accessed affordable housing. More than 2,000 community members actively participate in local programs and activities. Cultural events further strengthen community connection by celebrating diversity and fostering mutual understanding.
Together, we can expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and build a more inclusive society.
