We Are Changing Communities One Youth At A Time!
We believe that youth should grow up in a nurturing and safe environment that promotes a sense of belonging.
NYFOH has partnered with schools, churches, departmental soccer clubs, and community organizations. We train local leaders to run youth soccer sessions and provide resources, such as a handbook with health education and life skills curriculum, combined with technical soccer drills and games.
We also provide soccer equipment essential to the Cultural Center for Under-Served Youths. Donated soccer equipment from the US, Europe, and Canada is used first to create an infrastructure within our partner agencies. We then reward individuals and groups who successfully implement the SAFDP method and provide feedback for evaluation and documentation.
NYFOH partners with soccer clubs to connect them with communities in Haiti. Connecting soccer clubs means sharing pictures, stories, team stats, league information, and equipment. NYFOH aims to facilitate a cultural exchange where people on both sides of the world learn about each other’s vibrant cultures. Eventually, we hope to create opportunities for travel, wherein individuals and clubs can meet the SAFDP team, play friendly games, run soccer camps, and perform service projects. This cultural exchange connects individuals from different countries and helps to promote the understanding of the devastating problems in Haiti and the diverse cultures that exist among the citizens of the world.
